Gabriel is a student at the University of Cape Town currently pursuing an LLM in Intellectual Property. He is also the chairperson of the Post-Graduate Law Students’ Council and has devoted much of his life as a student to serving the student body. In his spare time, he advises a local e-Commerce boutique thrift store, 3thrifty5, on its legal strategy and legal affairs. Gabriel’s research focuses on the integration between law and technology, including how this integration might aid access to justice. Gabriel is also interested in the ways in which the fourth industrial revolution may revitalise law, specifically through blockchain technology and artificial intelligence. Outside of Open AIR, his passions include classic films, photography, science fiction novels, and coffee.
