Phyllis Webb started her finance career working for various big corporates and the local municipality. Here she was given the opportunity to train in various aspects of accounting.

Phyllis joined the staff at UCT in 1990 and was given substantial training in finance within the higher education sector in South Africa. She joined the IP Unit in 2011 to assist with donor reporting on Open AIR (2011 to date), as well the on the ASK Justice project (2014–2017).

Phyllis also assists with general administrative duties required by the IP Unit. Donor reporting is a field she enjoys, and has allowed her to utilise her UCT institutional knowledge. She has developed good relationships with the finance officers of the donors involved in the IP Unit projects.
