‘Damola Adediji is a PhD Candidate at the University of Ottawa, Canada. His doctoral research focuses on advancing copyright’s socioeconomic goals in Africa by applying competition/antitrust principles. As a recipient of the DAAD Scholarship, ‘Damola obtained his LLM in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the Max Planck Institute’s Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) in Munich, Germany, a jointly administered specialist program by the George Washington University, Technical University of Munich, University of Augsburg, and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. He is a practising lawyer with a demonstrated history of advising and representing clients on IP and competition law issues. ‘Damola has several publications, both in academia and outside. One of his works (with Professor Kean Birch) is an SHHRC-funded policy report on rethinking Canada’s competition policy in the digital economy.
Damola is serving as a Visiting Scholar at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School.
