Angela Yeboah-Appiah is a PhD candidate at the University of Ottawa and a Queen Elizabeth Scholars – Advanced Scholars Fellow with Open AIR. Her Doctorate research addresses the inequality women face within inheritance regimes in Ghana. She holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the University of Sussex and a BA in political science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Angela has great interest in human rights particularly women’s rights. She has several research papers on human rights issues as well as a published paper on the impact of the death penalty on children of parents sentenced to death for the Office for the Democratic Institutions and Human rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
