Brandon is currently completing the second year of his JD program at the University of Ottawa. Brandon attended the University of Waterloo for his undergraduate studies, where he completed a joint honours BA in History and Political Science, specializing in International Relations and Global Governance. Brandon then went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he specialized in International Business Management. During his MBA, Brandon served as Director of Campus Greening for Laurier’s Net Impact chapter, and participated in international business consulting study trips to Peru, Columbia, and India. Prior to law school, Brandon worked for 5 years at Waste Management Inc., as a member of both the sales and customer service team within Canada. There, Brandon engaged in roles including Customer Service Coordinator and Inside Account Manager.

Brandon’s primary research is based on intellectual property issues in the tech industry in Canada, East Africa and elsewhere. Focusing on the corporate strategy technology companies use to manage intellectual property, he is committed to gaining new insights into the relationship between open innovation and IP corporate policy frameworks, through cross regional comparison.
