Douglas Gichuki

Douglas Gichuki lectures at Strathmore Law School and and serves as a Research Fellow at Strathmore’s Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT), which is Open AIR’s East African Hub institution.

Gichuki is a PhD candidate at the Centre of Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University, London, holds an LLB degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi, and holds an LLM (in Information Law and IP) from Norwich Law School, University of East Anglia, UK. His research interests centre on software patents, trademark law and IP finance and securitisation.

He joined Open AIR in 2013 as a Research Fellow.
