Jeremy Baarbé is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor (JD) degree at the University of Ottawa. Jeremy holds a BA (Honours) and MA in Criminology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). Throughout both his degrees, Jeremy worked as a Research Assistant on issues relating to psychology and law with a focus on procedural justice and mediation. After completing his Masters, Jeremy worked for two years with Professor Isabel Pedersen in the Digital Culture and Media Lab, where he established a digital archive to track how rhetoric drives innovation. Jeremy has received multiple awards for volunteering, including for participating in search and recovery efforts during the Space Shuttle Columbia Disaster. Jeremy was also the CEO and Founder of a tutoring business focused especially on statistics.  Jeremy was previously the President of PSAC Local 555, advocating for Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, and Sessional Faculty at UOIT.  His interests include social justice, intellectual property law, and entrepreneurship. In his spare time he enjoys developing and tinkering with DIY gadgetry, including wearable technology.
