Tanya Magaisa is a committed activist committed to advancing the human good. She worked with UCT’s Intellectual Property Unit in 2019 and remains involved. She aims to achieve eudaimonia or human flourishing and this is evidenced by her interest in the role of IP protection as regards traditional and indigenous knowledge in South Africa and the greater SADC area. As she settles into the beginning of her legal career she hopes to find a fine balance between her philosophical musings and the real life effects of the law.
