This Working Paper 30 sets out the details of Open AIR’s 2010-13 scenario-building process and the network’s revisiting of the scenarios, in 2024, via the Signposting to Future Scenarios project. The 2024 project looked towards the year 2035—the year in which the original scenarios of 2013 were set. Included in this paper are reflections, generated during the 2024 project, on: tracking outcomes from scenario use; generating potential value through co-creation with scenario actors; and wind-tunnelling intellectual property (IP) responses to climate change. The reflective project of 2024 and this Working Paper jointly comprise an example of long-term monitoring, evaluation, and learning grounded in strategic foresight work undertaken more than a decade earlier.
