Caroline Wanjiru Muchiri is a currently a Research Fellow in charge of implementing OpenAir Project objectives at CIPIT. She also serves as the IP Research and IP Clinic Manager. Through the Clinic, CIPIT provides pro bono IP services to entrepreneurs especially at the start-up level. Wanjiru is also a Trainer and Mentor at @IBiz Africa a business and entrepreneurship incubator at for @iLabAfrica and is a Member of the IP and Commercialisation Committee, at Young Scientists Kenya (YSK).

Wanjiru is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 9 years post admission experience. She has practiced in Kenya in various capacities and has an open bias to law concerning innovations and intellectual property.
